I have an 81 pace arrow motorhome that I have rebuilt the carburetor but I am still having problems. It will start and run at an idle but as soon as I put it in gear and push on the gas pedal the engine dies. Can you please help me with this?

What engine, size, etc. Sounds like it could be an ignition system problem.

Did you verify that the accelerator pump was working? The choke works properly?
