No UTI then what is causing frequent urination & lower abdominal cramping?
Am a 47 year of female, partial hysterectomy 10 years ago. On 6/15/11 went to the Dr. with symptoms of frequent urination and what I would describe as menstral cramps with pressure. The Dr. dipped my urine and said it had a trace of blood and said he was going to have further labs done. He prescribed me 7 days of Macrobid capsules. The symptoms subsided, for the most part, however returned yesterday, but not as severe as they were on 6/15/11. I followed up with my doctor for my additional lab results and he advised that the lab found no blood in my urine and that all other findings were negative, so I don't have a UTI. Today my symptoms are slight, however not completely gone. He told me to have my urine checked in 2 or 3 weeks again in his office of my primary care Dr.'s office.
