    Poor water pressure
I recently changed my water filter which filters all water for the house. After switching it I last all water pressure in kitchen and bathroom and discovered that both areators were totally clogged, once cleaned they worked better. Now I have about half the water pressure I didn't before the switch (on all faucets, toilets, hoses). Sometimes I do get full pressure but only for a few seconds. The water tank pressure valves reads between 50 and 70 which is where is was before these problems started. Because I sometimes get full pressure it makes me think the problem is not a clogged aerator, faucet or pipe, but also the pressure pump seems to be in the "accepted" levels. Any ideas what would cause these problems?

Does your new filter have a bypass valve that you can use to bypass the filter and see if that solves the problem?

I can take the filter out and that will allow flow through but still goes through the filter housing

Does that help when you do that?

That fixed it... the threads on the filter housing were broken so the filter was being screwed in crooked and cutting off flow. Thank you!

Glad it worked out and was an inexpensive problem to solve.
