How can I tell this guy I like him through Facebook messages or texts
How can I tell this guy I like him through Facebook messages or texts without saying it directly? As in like a play on words. I would like to tell him in person if I have a chance, but its summer so there's a limit on time. Truthfully, he did tell me he liked about a year ago, but we only lasted a week or less. After about 4 months, I got together with another guy, but I still had interest in the other. At the moment I am willing to confess to him, but how can I tell him in not so direct way?

I think the direct way is the best way.

Why do you want to be tacit about it?

I don't know, I guess I could tell him directly, but I prefer leaving a distance between the fact that he may be surprised about me telling him this. It's just that we have been friends for a while.

Be direct! He might not read between the lines! He might be surprised but he will be pleasantly surprised! Everyone likes being told someone likes them! No matter who the person is, its flattering all the same and chances are, giving your history, he will be happy.

If you have been friends for a while you should probably know how to best communicate with them and this is what this is all about.
    Communication.

I think you want him to know how you feel , while you keep a buffer in case he reacts in a negative manner.

I think also you may lack a bit of confidence . That doesn't help.

    Tell him outright .

I think doing that is the best way to go about getting your point across and building confidence in yourself because I think you'll be happy with the results.

And I know a lot about this stuff , I'm old , so pay attention .

You just tell, you don't B S**t, you don't play games... you just tell him.

Just say you like him, and you think it would be nice to get to know him a bit better to see if you will get along.

We have to tell you and you have to tell us... one as to risk the rejection, and it does not always have to be a bloke.
