    Herpes Itching
I'm a 23 year old male who's had 'visually aparent' genital herpes for about 2 years. I've only had 2 partners and have had small outbreaks. But my current outbreak is spreading pretty bad and as soon as it starts to look dried out and fine, the itching occurs in the middle of the night when I'm not awake enough to notice that I'm scratching it. I've tried a Domeboro powder treatment and it started to work, but the itching came back. I'm about 3 weeks into my incubation period and am getting worried. What can I do to stop the itching and kill the infection?

Unfortunately you aren't going to "kill the infection." Herpes is a STD that stays with you for life.

Has this been diagnosed by a physician? There are medications that you can take that will reduce the number of outbreaks and the severity.

You must go see a Doctor, get an official diagnoses which will also provide you with the regular correct medication to keep theses out breaks under control.Once your on the percribed meds, you'll probably find that the out breaks will become less and also not as severe.

Please go see you GP as soon as possible... he will help you, remember your not alone with this, he will have seen it many times before.
