Why would a toad cost $l50. You can find them in the garden. Is this a new trend or something.

Oh give me a break, megan, you gave me reddie for THAT RESPONSE I only asked you a question all you had to do was bloody well ansswer the question.

You are not following forum basics, megan. So don't bother.

How old are you anway, 8 or 9 ?

I have three of them living in my garden at the moment. They keep the bugs in check, and don't need anything special that I can see. Just a damp spot and lots of bugs. I encourage them; I like the look of them.

Mow lawns, walk dogs, get a paper route (if your parents allow it), babysit (if you've taken a babysitting course and your parents allow it).

There are plenty of ways to earn money, but you'll have to work hard.

Another reason I don't like to see children posting on adult boards.

I don't understand the "buy a toad" part. What am I missing?

meganutah does not find this helpful : I want to buy a toad for a pet

I would suggest that you read the rules of AMHD. You have now insulted two members of the board. That's a pretty expensive toad.

You indicated that my answer was not factual. What exactly isn't factual?

(Another reason children should not be on adult boards.)

Time to read the rules. Unhelpful rating/reddies, are for factually incorrect information only. There's no way for me to know what your mother will or will not allow, unless you tell me, therefore my advice was accurate.

I have to ask. What answers did you expect? Did you think someone on this site was going to give you the money? What sort of work did you think you'd get at your age? The only way to make money is to work for it. If your mother won't let you work for it, then you'll have to kiss that toad goodbye.

Why is your mom hurting and how can money fix it?

No problem - why is your mom hurting?

(Takes a big person to apologize. I likewise apologize to you - I should not have judged you so quickly.)

I'm sorry to hear that about your mom. You seem like a sweet 11 year old. I have a 10 year old daughter myself who would probably ask the same question as you to try to help. In reality there isn't much you can do other than make your mom's life as easy as possible. Can you clean up and do a little cooking? Moms LOVE that stuff.

Oh, yes - anything that involves me not having to cook!

    That's a good idea.

    Apology accepted.

I have a 12 year old son, and an 8 year old daughter.

Sweetie, being a kid is tough, especially if you don't have the support of your parents.

Let's not talk about you earning money, what can we do to help you with your mom? What's going on?
