    Head of household
I was injured @ work, now getting weekly structured payments from workers comp.I haven't worked all yr so would it be better to not work rest of the yr & let my wife claim me as a dependent ? Maybe head of household next yr or is that not possible & if I go back to work should it be part-time/min wage I don't want to make more than her right. We file jointly with me main filer every yr, so I'm lost?

Filing joinlty is almost always the best choice.
None of you can claim head of household if you live together anyway.
A spouse can never be a dependent/ If you file joinlty, you get a personal exemption for each of you.
It also doesn't matter who goes first on the return. It doesn't have to be the main earner and it doesn't have to be the same person each year (although the IRS prefers it to be the same person each year).
If you get a job offer, take it.

You can not file as head of household if you are married.
