My boyfriend was arrested for possession of a large amount of marajuana and charged with possession and transportation of narcotics, this is is first time offence, will he do jail time? Or could he fight the case and get probation or even parol?

If he can "fight" the case, and show it was not him and that there is no evidence against him, he would get off.

Fighting the case will not get your probation.

Parole is what happens when you get out of prison early and after about 1/2 of his prison time, he may get a parole hearing.

How much is "a large amount" His attorney should know if the arrest was sound, if the warrants were good, and if there is any chance at all of fighting.

Was it 10 or more pounds?
