    Violation of Probation
A good friend was placed on Probation resulting from an Indecent Exposure/Lewd Conduct charge. His probation is due to end in August 2011. The problem is he has been frequenting Adult Bookstores and cruising parks since being placed on Probation, Recently, his actions have come to the attention of authorities. He is extremely worried that his probation is going to be extended or something worse. What can he expect to happen?

Who knows what he can expect. Was there a stipulation that he not enter adult bookstores, and if he is cruising parks (to do the same thing he was charged for) then he is violating his probation. Does he not have any sense of what he is doing? It sounds like he is a repeat offender with a psychological problem and should be treated a such.

His actions could lead to something more serious and he should be stopped now. Can't he curb his appetite.

As he well should be worried, and to be honest I hope someone like that is thrown into prison. Obviously they did not learn from being given a chance.

No probation will not be "extended" they will revolk it, and could spend the entire amount of the probation, ( not what is left but the entire time first given) in prison.

    Hello w:

If he missed a meeting, or didn't pay his fees, his probation could be extended... But, if he's engaging in the very same conduct that got him into trouble in the first place, they'll do a lot more than extend his probation.. Clearly, probation isn't working so they're not going to do MORE of what isn't working... Maybe PRISON will work...

Look, I'm not big on prison, but your friend is looking for VICTIMS to PREY on. He MUST be stopped! What are YOU doing about it?
