    Maytag electric Stove readout display
I have a Maytag Gemini electric stove. We recently had a storm that knocked out power and when it was first restored the read out on my stove kept flickering. I was told that was due to low voltage. The elctric comepany came back the next morning and asked me to turn off the main circuit breaker which I did until they were done fixing my outside elctrical lines. When they were done I turned on the power but I no longer get a readout on my stove. I tried unplugging the stove and replugging it in but to no avail. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the control board could have gone bad. A lot of times when the power turns on and off like that there is a power surge, that is likely what killed it. But it could have been on its way out anyway.

Is this an easy fix? Or in other words is it something I can do?

They are pretty easy to replace in most cases. Most are accessed from the rear of the stove by removing the rear panel. Good luck!
