Is he cruel or is it me?
OK, so I have really liked a guy for ages, and he knows it! The other day he called me and asked to meet up. I went, only to find him there with his new girlfriend. He didn't intriduce her to me as his girlfriend, but I know it is via other friends. Is it crual of him to do this, especially when he knows how I feel. I just feel empty and could barely even speak, to me it's evil, but maybe to him he thinks it was a good way to show he's with someone else... :-(

When he asked you to meet up did he make it seem like it was a date? Or did he give you the impression you would be alone? And how do you know he knows you like him? Can you be sure he knows?

He made out it was just a catch up drink. He definitely gave me the impression we'd be alone to chat etc. no mention was made of anyone else being there, especially not his new girlfriend. He DEFINITELY knows I like him. He came with me to a work event and was quite happy to have people think we were together. I told him in a round about way I liked him earlier this year and he was the same as always, nothing seemed to change. Maybe I'm a soft touch or just no good with guys... :-S I feel so hurt by this, especially since I found out via another friend that he introduced the girl as his girlfriend, but to me he introduced her just by her name...

I don't think he was being cruel, I think he actually had your best interest at heart by not calling her his girlfriend in front you, even though he still pretty much hurt you and didn't do a good job of sparing your feelings (men aren't very good at that sort of thing ;) ) I do think you are a little bit extra sensitive because you like him so much, which is understandable. But I don't think he intentionally meant for you to get hurt.

His girlfriend may have invited herself along and he couldn't say no or something also

Maybe the girl wanted to see the girl from work that likes him. As in know your enemy! So much for having hope about a workplace relationship.
