I have had very irregular periods since I started at the age of 12, I am now 28. I began my period two days ago but all there is, is brown blood with a few clots, this hasn't happened to me before. Would this be considered normal? as normally I have heavy normal red bleeding for the first two days. Thanks :)

Brown blood usually indicates old blood. It's likely that you'll start your normal bleeding soon, or you may just skip this period completely and have only the brown blood.

If you're worried about pregnancy then it's never a bad idea to test.

If you're worried about this brown blood, see your doctor. Fact is, it happens more often then you'd think. It's usually not something to be concerned about, but if you are a visit to the doctor should ease your mind. :)
