Your daughter could be scratching herself in her sleep; it doesn't necessarily have to be spirits. You are reading too much into this.

How many times has this happened?
Where are the scratches and how serious are they?

You say things are moving in her apartment. Could you give some details?

The more details you can provide the easier it may be to help you find out what is happening.

Many reasons possible, why not video tape yourself sleeping to see if there are things happening.

Tick is correct in that she may be scratching herself in her sleep.
Where on her body were the scratches? And were they painful , how fast did they heal?

Also many things can cause objects to fall off tables and such. Vibrations from traffic we cannot feel is sometimes enough to move things on tables and shelves.

Doors may not latch well and can open with the slightest change in air movement or pressure.

I am not trying to say these things didn't happen. I know paranormal activity takes place , I have experienced it.

But the vast majority of what is believed to be paranormal can be explained and attributed to normal circumstances.

What is it that has you so concerned this is paranormal ?
These may seem like scary things but we may be able to explain them and find they are nothing at all.

What we need is all the information you can provide.

Scratches , things falling off a table and an open door that was thought to be shut are not much to be afraid of or determine if it is a paranormal event.

I believe you. I am not trying to discount anything you say, I feel we need to know more in order to help.

Exactly. Even info like living next to train tracks would help. I'm just using it as an example.. that would explain a lot of things except the scratches. Has the baby ended up with scratches as well or just the mother? When you say she never used to pay attention to it does that mean it's been going on for some time now or did you mean that she never used to believe in paranormal activity?

Growing up as a child, the closet doors would open every night ( and day) cabinet doors would open. Things fell off tables, all because of large trucks, trains and vibrations from a gravel pit about 7 miles a way when they blasted.

My niece had to wear rubber gloves at night because she would cause serious scratches to herself when she sleep
