My boyfriend has had tattoos all up his arms, but when he got them done he didn't know the tattooist was using printer ink. He's had them for a few years and never had too much trouble apart from irritated skin, but the other day he had to go to hospital because he had raging pains in his chest, heart and around his kidneys. He had some tests done and they told him that his blood consists of 3% ink, so they gave him some injections to neutralize the ink. He has to wait for 2 weeks for the injections to completely work, but in the mean time it causes severe aches and pains for him while it kicks in. I just want to know if he will be okay in the future, or if it will affect him later on in life, because he's told me that he was terrified of going to sleep in case he never woke up :'(

Only a Physician can tell him what the outcome will be.

What does the Doctor say?

I trust he has reported the tattoo "artist" to the Police and also the licensing authority.

I guess I have to question, blood 3 percent ink??
