ANN = artificial neural networks. The OP should look at the different books on ANN and Fuzzy Logic. Bart Kosko wrote an accessible book on the topic and NN has been around for about 30 some years. In a nutshell, artificial neural networks are statistical estimators and describe the strength of input-output patterns in values of connections. Fuzzy logic is more about probability description except that you have a possibility for something to be both options. So the standard example is fuzzy logic deals with the problem of HOW MUCH a person is bald - not whether the person is bald or not (a binary option). So fuzzy expert systems use a variety models of decision making based on "level of belonging" in a category rather than a binary value.

As the homework help is best done by yourself, we can only provide references, high-level pointers and other resources to help you along. The point of homework is to help you better understand the material presented in your class and potentially build on it. If the homework is done by someone else, you basically don't get the value of it and you are effectively short-changing yourself and your academic growth. Good luck in your efforts.
