My little poodle mix, about 7 pounds big is refusing to eat. For two days his stomak is bloated from gaz, and making noise. This is not the first time. The doggie is a 7 and a half years old, and this happened to him before. We used to run to the vet all the time. But as I learned to recognise the simptoms, I decided to wait. I know that if there are any problems with his pancreas, not eating is the only thing that helps. But he hasen't eaten for more than 2 days now, and does not seem to be interested. I am trying give him some food, but he regects it. His nose is cold and dry, but he does not have a fever. He goes to the water, makes 3 liks and walks away. I would like to know when should I start to seriously get worried. How long can he stay safely without food.

I would would say that if he has not eaten for 3 days and is drinking very little then the time for concern is here. He is small and will dehydrate quickly. And you mention pancreas, has he had Pancreatitis in the past? There are many things that will cause a dog not to eat, to many to mention. If you have seen these symptoms in your dog in the past and he required vet care at that time, then it stands to reason that he needs vet care now too.
I would suggest taking him.

I use my mum a lot in my posts but it is 100% true... my mum has Miniature Poodles and one of them bloats regularly.
Bloat is basically where the stomach starts to fill with gas, eventually the stomach twists blocking off both exits and the gas starts to build up rapidly.
The twisting usually only occurs in larger, deep chested breeds, but it has been known to happen in smaller ones.

Thankfully her poodle never had the twisting, just the gas build up. They first time it happened they raced the dog to the emergency vet and had an x-ray done to confirm there were no blockages in the intestine.
Treatment was de-gass medication.
Now whenever it happens they know to immediately give the de-gass meds.

If it is bloat then you definitely need to consult a vet as soon as possible, it can turn fatal very quickly.

I would be worried about a dog not eating for 3 days yes.
