Have you informed your parents of your intentions? My understanding of your culture requires you to abstain from sex until marriage, so you do have to finalize the contract.

I sure wouldn't tell anyone else that you have been physical with each other already though, unless you have been living together already. I am not Muslim, but I would hate for problems to arise by you jumping the gun, so to speak.
