    Child support
My husband is paying child support. His son is 19 years old, quit school last year. Went to Job Corp and got kicked out for not following the rules. He is now living with a friend. WE live in New York State. Since his son his no longer in school and not living with his mother, is my husband still obligated by law to pay support?

By law it is what every your child support agreement though the court says, they vary, many just stop at 18 reqardless, some go to 21 if the child stays in school.

I know of no agreement that would require payments after 18 if the child is not in school.

Father Chuck is right. Have your husband pull out his divorce/child support agreement and reread it. I am sure it has been a while since he has looked at it. It should give you the answer you are looking for.
