My 13 year old was caught shoplifting in February. We were told to expect a letrter in the mail from the Police as to when and where to appear but haven't heard anything yet.?

Well, they probably have a year to bring charges, but if they haven't so far, I doubt they will. Did you receive a civil demand letter from the store?? They're MUCH more interested in that.. If you haven't got that, they're not doing ANYTHING.
