    Non-lease eviction
I'm living in an apartment in CA with 3 roommates and I've never really gotten along with one of them and the other day she gave me a note saying that I had to be moved out in 10 days. I'm on a month to month rent basis with her because she is on the lease for the apartment. Do I still have to pay her rent for the current month since she has to legally give me 30 days?

She has to give you 30 days notice; you have to pay rent for all days there.
If you are willing to move out right away, use rent as a negotiating tool.

She has given you a vacate notice. Since the notice doesn't give you the legally required amount of time, the notice is invalid and you are not required to move. So, as Joy suggested, you can use the rent as a bargaining chip if she wants you out earlier.
