I've had my cartilage pierced for over a year now and it's still so painful. Why?
I have had the top of my cartilage pierced about a year ago and it's so sore I had it done with a needle and after the recommended time I chained the ear ring to a ring because I told it would be less painful however it is still very sore Im in pain where I can't sleep on that side. I really don't want to take it out:( any advise?

I have other piercing and none of the others are this painful.

My advice would be to go back to the piercer who did it. You may just have very sensitive ears and the healing time for a cartilage piercing is around 3-12 months. If you smoke this healing time could be prolonged because smoking suppresses the immune system and stops blood circulation to the skin properly.
