    Spasms in my kidney
    I'm 22 weeks pregnant

For the past 4 days I have been getting what feels like spasms in my right kidney. The pain is extremely bad. I am taking paracetamol for now (they barely help) until I see my doctor on Tuesday, I am also drinking plenty of fluids including cranberry juice, I am passing urine perfectly fine. I have had past infections before I got pregnant so I'm assuming its my kidney.

Has anyone any idea what this is? And should I go to hospital instead of waiting until Tuesday?

Can you describe EXACTLY where the pain is coming from? Kidney stones are common during pregnancy as are gallstones. The pain is from different areas. You may be drinking plenty of liquids, but are you drinking plenty of WATER? Are you chewing ice? Is it hot where you are?

The weather actually just got warm since yesterday but I have this about 4 days now. The pain is in my back on the right hand side just where my waist line is. I have been drinking loads of water, haven't tried ice though.

No, no.. don't EAT ice... bad bad. Causes dehydration, you don't want that.

I'm left wondering if you are having some gallstone issues. Very common during pregnancy.

Do me a favor and look at this and tell me if it sounds like this is what is happening.

Hopefully Doula will be in soon, but I've got to get some sleep.

Thanks for your time anyway J, I am having a few of them symptoms but the pain is in the wrong place, unless it just feels like its my back because I'm pregnant? But the description of the pain like waking me up at night are spot on.
