My daughter is almost 13 months and she only says mamma and dadda. She also points a lot and tries to say what she is pointing at. Should I worry that mamma and dadda is all she is saying at the moment ?

    Kind regards,
    Natasha

I hope you are trying to help her with her words. No I don't think you should worry about it, but what I am trying to say is, young ones need a lot of coaching and encouragement, or they aren't going to get it right away. The more you help her, spend time with her when she is trying to let you know what she wants when pointing and trying to say the word, say the word for her until she gets it.

Thank you ! We do help her with the words that she points out to.
She also points at food saying na na, that is her word for food :-). It is so cute and when she points at our minitures, she says whoof whoof. That's also what we taught her. She can wave bye bye but does not say bye.
Should she be able to say bye at 13 months ?

Give the poor child time! She is still so young and her brain is a sponge. She has only been on this planet a little over a year. WAY too young to have a complete vocabulary. She sounds right on target for her age.
