    How can
What can I do to make my daughters step mother stop harassing me about my relationship with my daughter and stop getting my daughte worked up and upset every time she visits her and her father?

You can start by talking to your ex-husband. If that doesn't work and the situation is disruptive and upsetting to your daughter (and I don't know how old she is) you can go back to Court (and I realize this is drastic) and PROVE that the stepmother is harassing you.

Can you prove what the stepmother is doing and saying?

    What State - ?

Appeal to your mil's ego and ask her advice about things. Make friends with her. Tell her how much you appreciate how well she raised her son to be a good father to your child. If that's not true, figure out things that ARE true and compliment her on them -- her house is always so clean or her chocolate chip cookies are always so good or the bright colors she wears always cheer you up.

If you change how you deal with her, she will change in response.

As Judy stated, laws vary by region. There's not a blanket law for the situation.

Please explain what she is doing to harass you, and how she gets your daughter worked up/upset.

What is your ex-husband's input on all of this? Have you discussed this with him?

She's referring to her ex-husband's new wife, not her MIL :)

I KNEW I should have had a snack to raise my blood sugar before I looked at this site.

Then, appeal to your ex's wife's ego. Do all I suggested for a mil.

Judy and this -- I've known both of them as the library patrons from hell (and thanked God I'm not related to them). But "heaping coals of fire" on their and my own mil's head actually worked.
