    Here I go
I'm asking you a question about a car accident that happened earlier today... so hear I go, so I'm coming down a street a car cuts me off and I swerved out the way and lost control of the car and I hit a pole. The other guy didn't stop so I didn't get his plates. I did a police report and all. I left a ambulance.so I'm wondering if I can get paid anyhow

    How,

If you find a witness, and they do confirm that it was the other driver, and you were not going to fast for conditions.

But unless someone can find the other driver, and prove they ran you off the road and it was there fault,
    Only your insurance will pay.

So they can ID the car, did they get a license plate number ?

But unless you can find that car you can't get paid.

And if you find it, and they don't have insurance you can "win" in court but still won't get the money if they don't have it

You file a claim with YOUR insurer. Your insurer will pay less any deductible. If you can find the other vehicle, then you may be able to file a claim with their carrier to cover the deductible. Your carrier will help since they can get reimbursed for their outlay.

As I understand the question, you are asking if your employer will you pay you for time lost from work. That would be up to your employer. And if not, if you can find the other party, the other party's insurance carrier may possibly compensate you.
