Laws about an extended stay hotel?
I have lived in an extented hotel in stockbridge ga. When I first moved in I paid a pet deposit of 30.00. That was the only time I had to pay it. New owners just bought this place and now they want me to pay an extra 120.00 a month on top of what I already pay. Can they do that ? And what if I don't pay it?
    Thanks Lisa

Do you have a lease? If so, no they cannot change the terms of the lease. If you are month-to-month they must give you a month's notice based on the date your rent is due. For example, if your rent is due June 1st you MUST be given notice prior to May 1st. And, yes, without a lease the new owners can change the amount of rent.

Is this an extended stay hotel that you pay on a weekly basis?
