How far can a septic tank be emptied from
We have a new septic tank which is 50M from our motor car / lorry access.
We are trying to sell the property and wonder if this distance for emptying access is too far and a solisitor / surveyor will have access issues. Is is easy for tanks to be emptied over this distance 50

    Many thanks

Septic tanks are pumped directly from the tank through a lid or cap directly on top of the sepic tank. If you can't find yours, you may have to start digging to find it. It would be near impossible to pump the tank from the location you stated.

It was not too far for the equipment that dug the hole and the pumper can travel the same ground

For most reliable answer call a local business that provides septic pumping service and ask.

Okay, I misunderstood the question, I think? I thought they were asking if the septic could be pumped through a pipe opening 50m away, like a cleanout or rv dump, which would be tough, because you would hit the baffle on the tank. Not real clear here, but I think Bob and Harold are correct.
