What does the VISITATION ORDER say? It's all about taking the child away from the father, away from that relationship. If you can PROVE that this is an outstanding employment offer the Judge could decide that travel expenses should be split, you should pay them OR the father would have visitation in larger blocks of time to make up for lost visitation.

You didn't give us the most important info. And that is whether the father has a visitation order and what level of custody.

If your move will prevent the father from exercising the court order then you MUST go to court to get permission. Otherwise you could be ordered to give the father custody.

Ok, so there is visitation which means you have to go to court for a modification and permission to move.
