Can a girl get infected with HPV when giving oral sex to an infected male who isn't having an outbreak?

You are confusing HPV with Herpes. Herpes has outbreaks.. but many people with Herpes shed live virus even without an outbreak. HPV doesn't have outbreaks... its a constant thing where you can always pass it on to an uninfected partner.

I would like to correct the other person that answered this. You CAN have outbreaks from hpv, it's called warts. My mother has hpv and she always complain about her outbreaks. Now to your answer, yes you can catch hpv from them with oral sex. If the skin comes in contact with any part of you insides (cuts vigina mouth and eyes) you can get it. Be careful and good luck =)

Thanks guys. I have gotten my gardisil shots within the last couple years, does this change anything? And the guy wasn't breaking out and hasn't been for a while now due to his medication for the warts.
