1 spark from ignition coil!
I got in my car one morning and started my drive into town and my oil light come on while car lost all power still ran till my coast came to a stop! I thought maybe it was the fuel pump again but I just put a whole new pump assembly in it so I listened close and I did hear the fuel pump! OK! So I popped the hood and looked for any loose components and there was none! Then I checked for spack at my wire ends! No spark!! Ah! So I pulled my lead from my ignition coil turn the car over and I get only one spark out of it! So I put a new distrbutor on it and same problem no spar to to the plugs!! So then I ran a lead from the battery to my coil just to make sure it was good! It seems to be! OK! So I take my main relay out take it apart and one of the diodes in it was burnt up! So I replaced it soldered the point back well and still nothing! I am still only getting one spark from the ignition coil when car is being turned over!! This car is an 88 honda accord with 180,000 miles on it. It is a 2.0 auto LX! Please I really need some help on this!!
