My DCP 100 is USB'd to my iMac 22.5" It prints once, then goes offline.

I have downloaded the latest software (driver). My other printer is a WiFi Epson inkjet. After a download and install, the new printer will print one time, and then claim it is not connected. I have two of these same model Brother lasers and they both act the same way, so I don't think it is the fault of the units. My iMac is running OS X 10.6.7.
