    Can a p trap be off set 3-4" from directly beneath the drain of a shower/ (in ontario)

    Hi Cooper88...

    Yes, you can make an offset using 45 degree fittings above the ptrap inlet... I would not recommend offsetting with 90s.

    The rough plumbing was already comeing out of the floor (basement concrete floor ) with a very small opening around it but enough to offset the p trap approx. 2" away and not to have it directly below strainer . I really don t want to take some concrete away if not needed

    Very much like to see a picture of what you have. Seems that if you have enough room for fittings to off set, you should have enough room for trap. Are you saying trap is already in place.
