92 Honda Civic Dash Lts/Radio/Lighter Out
Just stumbled across this site today and already I've learned a lot. Like I'll probably need to keep coming back here.
Just bought the Civic the other day. Radio didn't work, but I figured I'd just replace it. Didn't notice the dash lights because the test drive was in daylight. But all those items seem to be on the same circuit. Checked the fuses. For some reason there was a 10 amp when it should have been 15. Replaced it with high hopes but no go. One weird thing: there is a red blinking light on the radio (after market removeable faceplate Craig model) but doesn't seem like there is any power to the unit other than that. Cigarette lighter was tested by plugging a cell phone charger into it - that didn't light up.
Haven't started pulling stuff apart yet, just wondered where to start. Really I'm wondering if it is the whole circuit or maybe just different things on the same circuit.
I'm going to start by checking the fuses as suggested in several posts by txgreasemonkey. Thanks
