Hi Gloria...
In most cases, if it is a fuse then the dryer wouldn't start.
If it is the dryer element then the dryer will start, the dryer drum will rotate, but no heat will be generated inside the dryer.
Also, be sure to check that the dryer vent isn't clogged up as this can sometimes appear to be a broken dryer when it is in fact a clogged vent!
Most likely, the dryer element is shot!
Good luck!

How do I check the element on the dryer that I just wrote you about?
You would need the installation/repair instructions that came with the unit or you can contact sears and I am sure they can email them over to you... ;)

Gloria, you will need a volt/ohm meter to check continuity of element. Is one available and do you know how to use it? Here's a guide http://repair2000.com/norun.html
