    I have a Theft by conversion charge (felony) could I become a Counselor in a Prison with this charge??

    No, don't think so. Anyone with a felony will not be accepted for that kind of position. Do you really think they would want anyone with a felony working in the prison system, especially someone wanting to be a counsellor. In any event, you would have to have specific credentials to be a counsellor.

    Good morning, thank you for your response, I am going to check with the Board here in Georgia. My father did time in Prison and he was the one who gave me the idea to try becoming a counselor, he said there were counselors with records or former drug habits, who told or spoke about there past and I'm guessing made for better Teachers because of there experience. Thank you again for your response.
