Please post your source. I actually bred lovebirds - and it was NOT 12 to 18 days in my experience.

Yes.. I have one more question. My lovebirds already have 2 babies aged 7 weeks.I am not sure if they are able to feed themselves. So can I separate them? Does a 7 weeks old baby lovebird feed himself?

Are they out of the nesting box?

Yes they come out from their nesting box but their balance is still not perfect. They can stand on the wood stick but they keep on falling. And when they mate who is on the top? Is it the male or female? Because I want to know which one is the male and which one is the female

Did you read the info I posted?

    I don't think you did.

At any rate, no one is on top. The male is behind the female, "sort of" on top of her but certainly not in missionary position. Did you read about vents and the like?

If they are out of the box you know if the parents are feeding them. My guess is that they are not.

My lovebird 3 days ago laid an egg but till now we haven't seen any other eggs being laid. I read the articles and know they don't sit until there are 3 eggs. But does it take more than 3 days to lay other eggs? And thank you for the website
