I am trying to change a Delta Monitor 1700 cartridge. I took off the spindle on the handle, and the temperature control knob and cover, but now I need to take off the temperature limit stop. It is recessed inside the handle assembly, and I can't figure out how it comes out. I've gripped the handle assembly by hand and pulled while turning back and forth, but something is holding it on. I'm afraid to pull any harder because the pipes and spout are both wiggling, and I don't want to break anything. Everything I read on the web says to just pull the handle straight off the stem, but mine won't budge!
