Hi.my name is lakeesha I'm 11 weeks pregnant I went today for my ultrasound and I was told they didn't see a baby my hcg levels are normal and I have no cramping bleeding or anything he did a pelvic exam and my cervix is still closed I feel pregnant what do I do I asked to wait for another ultrasound in a week!

I think getting another ultrasound in a week is a good idea.

Ultrasounds are not all that accurate, particularly if the person doing it is not properly trained. However, by 11 weeks, even a poorly trained operator should be able to find a properly growing baby.

Get another ultrasound and see what that shows.

Thanks a lot for your answer he told me I have what's called a belighted ovum I think, does this mean I will miscarry?

I'm not sure how this is going to turn out I have a toddler already and my pregnancy was fine with him so I'm not sure what the outcome is going to be and he also told me if I wanted to miscarry naturally I think that would be an option but I still have my hopes that this baby is in there.
