What jumper setting if O/B terminal is unused? Honeywell RTH2300
    Hi,

I have purchased a Honeywell RTH2300 programmable thermostat. The installation instructions are pretty clear, but one question I do have concerns the JP2 jumper.

The instructions previously say its okay to have only a 4-wire connection Y R G W.

This is the set-up I seem to have, so the O/B terminal will be unused. Should be okay according to the instructions.

BUt on the instructions for setting the JP2 jumper, (Heat Pump Reversing Valve) it says

O - leave the jumper in this factory-set positions if you have connected O wire to the O/B terminal.

B - Place the jumper in this position if you have connected B wire to the O/B terminal.
So my question is, if I have nothing connected to the O/B terminal, do I leave it in the factory setting or remove the jumper altogether? Or what?

Thanks if anyone can help me out!
