Whenever I use video chat my laptop gets powered off... what is the problem?

Most likely it is because your not typing anything and it is set to go to sleep after a certain amount of time. Have you checked that yet ?

No you noyhing like that.. it happens only when I am using video chat option...

Sounds like overheating to me. The video chat programs use a lot of processor power. Do you hear a fan being on high speed while you Skype?
