Is an 11 day period too long?
I am 18 years old, never been on on any kind of birth control. Usually my periods last 5 days but this month was different, tomorw is going to be 12 days that I've had it. Im EXREMELY worried, can it be because I've been stressing A lot these past 2 weeks?

11 days isn't totally "common" but it is normal.

Some people have longer ones than that even!

Now, yes, stress would have a lot to do with it. Stress wreaks havoc on any woman's body, regardless of age. Think about it - we have the sex hormones which help us have our periods etc plus you have the stress hormones mixing in with those as well so of course things are going to be out of whack a bit.

    Calm down.

Drink chamomile tea every day - it's a nerve tonic, will relax you.

Have some lemon balm with it (a herb - get from the health food shop) which helps you to stop worrying.

Keep your fluids up and eat good food - this will help you to stop stressing so much.

If its still going in another week then get yourself checked out just to be safe.

I think you'll find though if you relax a bit, things will ease up.

Yoga, a hot bath every night with some lavender oil to help you unwind, chamomile tea with lemon balm, lavender on your pillow to help you sleep - all these things will help with stress.

Now relax! It'll be OK :-)
