    Leaky bathroom sink.
Hi and thank you in advance. I just installed a pedestal sink in order to make my bathroom look bigger. It has been working fine until my roommate the other day noticed that whenever we wash our hands with soap and water... the sink starts leaking from the point where the sink connects into the "L" pipe (sorry- don't know terminology). I know that I could use a plastic nut that goes around the pipe like near the wall... but the pipe had been cut from the previous owners and the previous sink. So... I don't know what to do to get it to stop leaking so much. Is there a plumber's tape... something that I can use to get it to not foam up and leak out around the edges of the pipe?

Kind of hard to figure out just where the leak is and why it is occurring from that description?

    Don't know what that means.

Post a picture of the drain and show us where the leak is occurring.
