You are being taken for a ride.
    This is a CLASSIC SCAM.

All they are interested in is your money..

Very, very common scam. You will send money, and she will keep needing more, until you finally are broke. One man had a long thread here about this just recently, and despite being told to stop sending money, he did again, and of course she still had yet another reason for not being able to get out of Ghana. The truth is, she is too busy online scamming other men, probably with the help of her boyfriend or husband, and has no intention of leaving. Of course vanity and loneliness often win out over common sense and tons of people giving you good advice.

    Gary,

The only requirement to come to the US is a Ghanaian passport, a U.S. visitor visa (B-2) and a plane ticket.

There is no requirement from the government of Ghana for a "declaration fee", "declaration letter", funds in hand to show support, or a medical examination. You can confirm this with the Ghana embassy website and the U.S. State Department website.

    Good luck.

Since when do airlines give out ticket purchase information? What is the 800 number you called?
Second, even if she did purchase a ticket, it was probably with a credit card, and it can be canceled very easily at little cost, usually about $100 for an international flight. It will be worth it to her if she thinks she has a good chance of getting more than that out of you.
You still aren't believing how sophisticated these scams are. You still think she needs to get out of Ghana. There is always a story about why she needs to escape, and it's a total lie. If you even Google her name, you may find dozens of men who have sent her money. But she will just change her name, or use a friend's name, since these are done in groups.
Now that you have sent her some money you don't want to give up believing, and that's another truth scammers rely on to get more and more out of you.

How did you get the 800 number? Did the woman give it to you? It's easy to get an 800 number, and someone can fake it by answering "British Airways. How can we help you?" so you think you are talking to the real airline.

Google that 800 number and see what happens.
