Hi I'm raily confused I have very irregular perods and my question is I took a clear blue ovulation test 29 day's ago and it seid possative with a big smiley face I didan't have sex the day of the possative but did the day after and I was testing possative for naily a full week witch I did not and still don't understand why that happaned.I heard your meant to get your period around 12-16 days after ovulation but that has been and gone and still no period I have taken 2 hpt and both was negative I havan't raily got any pregnancy symptoms except feeling undder the weather more moody headache's and whit discharge can any one please give me some advise of to what it may be could I still be pregnant?

Sorry I didn't fully understand your post, just to clarify, you got a positive on a home pregnancy test but now you're getting negative results and you haven't had a period?

If this information is correct, have you been to see your doctor about this and possibly getting a blood test done? This would be a good idea to give you're a more accurate result.

The lack of a period may simply be due to the irregular cycles. How long have you been using ovulation tests? Sometimes it can take a few months of use to start to see a pattern, but they can be difficult with irregular cycles.

It is possible you caught the LH surge on the way up and it remained for a few days. It is possible the test staying positive is associated with the irregular cycles. Have you spoken to your doctor about your periods? Has anything been discussed in regard to helping to regulate them? Has a possible cause been checked for?

My apologises' I didn't read your post correctly,

I have just been to the doctors and they want me to do a urine pregnancy test in 1 week she sied iff it comes back negative she can't think of any explanation for it that made me evan more confused I told the doc about my irregular periods and she still doesant understand why I have no period after ovulation so I will update you when I have the nxt pregnancy test and see what the out come is.

A few things could be happening. Your doctor should know that ovulation tests can tell when you have a surge in the hormone associated with the release of an egg, but they don't actually tell you whether you are ovulating. Your body may prepare for it, but that doesn't mean it happens... or at least not every cycle.

This can sometimes also be an issue with irregular cycles. Odds are that you are not ovulating every cycle.

How long have you been using the ovulation tests? If it is not too personal, you don't have to answer if you don't want to... are you by chance a bit overweight? Have any concerns with facial hair, stray hairs on your chin for example? Any skin problems, such as spots? Have you had any ovarian cysts?

Certainly try the pregnancy test in a week and see if it is due to being pregnant. If it is negative, you could ask your doctor about having a blood test done.

Again, since you have a history of irregular cycles, it may just be a continuation of that.

I have been tested for pcos and I havant got that I have blood tests done in the past and they came back OK I have no imbalance or anything like that I have seen a gyno last November and due to see him again in 1 week because I wanted to no what was up with my periods because I started with my period at age 15 I am now 23 ever since I started them there was irregular like every 7 months not underweight or over weight I am at a healthy weight he wanted me to do a bllod test at the hospital when I was nxt on my period witch I did December its now may the bllod test showed I was ovulating then its so fustrating iff I find out I'm defanitly not pregnant I will ask my gyno what he thinks it maybe thanks for the advice and I will update you when I no more.

Well I would just like to update you all on this subject I found out I am not pregnant and my gyno said it could just be my irreguler periods and long cycles so I am just waititng to have more tests doing to try
