    VOID marriage?
Hi I'm new to this forum,
I need help I am a sponsor for my husband he is Pakistani and I'm british. We applied for a settlement visa but it got refused as the problem was that I married him abroad ain Pakistan but was not legally divorced in UK law to my ex-husband.
What I want to know is that we appealed and the judge dismissed case and stated as did ECO the marriage is VOID. Can you confirm does this mean I was not legally married to my new husband? How do you write it down on the new application that I will be submitting and if possible can I quote an immigration lawyers name if answered? To show I have consulted for help?
I married my husband again on 15 Jan 2011, so this if I am right is my first marriage as now my divorce absolute has come through and I am legally divorced by my ex.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thank you...

You were married to husband #1. Presumably in the UK.

When still married to husband #1, you attempted to marry husband #2 in Pakistan. Does Pakistan not allow polygamy? If not, the marriage to husband #2 would be indeed void (according to the law in most jurisdictions anyway).

Then, you again marred husband #2 on January 15th. I don't know that it matters, but was this also in Pakistan? Had your divorce absolute become final by then?

If this is correct, as I calculate it, no, the January marriage would be your second, not your first marriage.
