    I just noticed that I have overpaid in my 2004&2005 tax Can I still get a refund ? HoW?

    You had 3 years to file amended returns (1040X), sorry.
    The IRS says that is so 'generally' but I have no idea what would be considered an exception. Maybe in the hopes that people who owe will file and pay. I wouldn't get my hopes up for a refund but you could try.

    No you will not get the refund. The last date of filing your 2005 tax return to get the refund was April 1, 2009.

    You cannot amend the returns beyond the 3 years allowed.
