My ex has finally found a loop hole for helping support or 13 year old son. Never paid cild suppot till now over $27,000.00 past due now he is claiming meantel illiness to get ssi which I can't touch for now or back payment. Please anyone can help not understanding why he has no reasion to help support the child he helped make I am supporting on my on what can I do?

Unfortunately, there is little you can do. If he has no income there is nothing to collect. However, if he is awarded SSI, then that can be attached to some extent. Also your child might then be eligible to receive direct payments from SS.

Maybe he does have a mental illness ? But if SSI comes through the payments should be on time from here on out.

Social Security makes it very difficult to get disability for mental illness. You don't just 'claim' it. They require substantial records over a fairly long period, not just one acute episode which could be faked or not disabling for very long.
