I am a Canadian citizen and my boyfriend is an illegal alien from Mexico. We might want to marry in the future, we have been living together for one year now.

His ex-girlfriend called the immigration office and gave them his full name and birthday.

If in fact Immigration does have his information does this make it impossible for him to marry now in Canada? And if Immigration has his name, will he be caught if he goes to renew his passport at a Mexican consulate in Canada?
