    John Deer 155C PTO problems
I have been having problems with the PTO. When engaging the PTo the fuse blows. I have replaced the switch. I have ereplaced the 20 amp fuse that did blow. It only happens when I engage the PTO. I have checked conections and no shorts notived. What do I do next to check the PTO to see if it's good. I am thinking about taking off the deck and engaging the PTO without the stress if it works without blowing the fuse I would not know what to do next.

    Hi,
That machine had two problems that confounded thr technicians for awhile. One was a short to the frame near the clutch and out of sight inside the sides of the frame. The second was a short on what was called the rear harness; easiest followed forward from the seat switch and along the right side of the frame. It was usually a bare wire under the right fender.
    Peace,
    Clarke
