    Sharp 19"
I have a Sharp 19". When I put it on (it clicks) and comes on. In the weekend I put it on and it did the same clicking sound to come on, BUT it clicks back and turns off. Soo it clicks on when I press the ON button and clicks back immediately and goes off, What could this be? It sometimes takes 5 minutes to switch back off. Now it take a 2 seconds.

Defective main board, almost everything has been on one board for some time. And its related to the power supply part of it. And a repair bill to fix that's worth more than the TV is most likely.

Unless you are an Electronics tech... have the test equipment and schematics, its not something you are going to be able to fix yourself.

I would be inclined to just toss it even if it were my own. I assume its an older CRT type TV.

Sorry... those days went out with tubes. (yes I remember those too well). When they put a label on the back saying no user serviceable components inside. They aren't kidding.

Besides... for the benefit of anyone that might read this. There is 25-35,000 volts on that picture tube. Yes thousands. It can kill you. Even if its been unplugged for years and even decades. And the Picture tube is glass and under a high vacuum. Breaking that with the cover off can get equally ugly.

Not meaning to scare people... just wanted to stress the point to be careful handling them when they are being discarded.
